In the build-up to 2027, the conversation around consolidation, unity, and continuity keeps returning to one name that grassroots mobilizers across the North mention with respect: Hon. Aminu Suleiman. As Director General of the Tinubu Support Organisation, TSO, he has come to embody a kind of politics that values loyalty over noise and structure over slogans. “Victory is not won on television.
It is won in the streets, in the markets, and at the polling units where people trust you enough to listen,” a close associate of Suleiman once remarked, capturing the philosophy that has guided TSO since 2022. That philosophy, rooted in service and consistency, is why many within the movement describe him as the quiet engine behind the organization’s nationwide reach.
The Tinubu Support Organisation was not built overnight. From the moment Suleiman personally purchased the APC Presidential Nomination forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2022, TSO positioned itself as a coalition of over 6,320 support groups committed to one goal: delivering and now sustaining the Renewed Hope agenda.
In 2023, that network turned enthusiasm into votes by bridging the gap between party leadership and communities across Bauchi, Kano, Maiduguri, Sokoto, and beyond. Today, as attention shifts to the President’s re-election, TSO’s role has evolved from campaign mobilization to governance advocacy, policy sensitization, and grassroots feedback. It is this blend of loyalty, organization, and people-centered engagement that continues to make TSO a critical pillar in the push to return President Tinubu to office in 2027.
No amount of distraction or sponsored noise will diminish the success stories of Hon. Aminu Suleiman. While detractors may attempt to rewrite history or sow division, the record remains clear: from purchasing the nomination form in 2022, to building and sustaining over 6,320 support groups, to defending the Renewed Hope agenda on the ground, his contributions are visible in every state and community where TSO worked. Loyalty, structure, and service cannot be erased by press statements. The results speak for themselves, and it is those results that will continue to propel both Suleiman’s legacy and the movement toward President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Hon. Aminu Suleiman will be remembered as one of the earliest and most consistent architects of the Tinubu political project in the North. Long before the 2023 campaigns gained national momentum, he made a decisive commitment in 2022 when he personally purchased the APC Presidential Nomination and Expression of Interest forms for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
That act was more than financial support. It was a signal to party stakeholders, grassroots groups, and ordinary Nigerians that the Tinubu candidacy was serious, organized, and ready to go to work. From that moment, many others found the confidence to align and invest their time and resources.
As Director General of the Tinubu Support Organisation, TSO, Aminu Suleiman built what became one of the most visible and extensive grassroots networks in recent Nigerian elections. Under his coordination, TSO grew into a coalition of over 6,320 support groups spanning students, market associations, women cooperatives, professional bodies, and diaspora chapters.
That structure gave the Tinubu campaign reach into communities where traditional party channels were weak. In the North, where trust is built through presence and consistency, Suleiman ensured that TSO coordinators were on the ground, holding conversations, distributing materials, and translating the Renewed Hope message into local realities.
What made his leadership stand out was the fact that he pursued this work without holding any elective office. His drive was not personal ambition, but conviction in Tinubu’s capacity to reset the country. Day after day, he maintained contact with state, zonal, and diaspora coordinators. He pushed for regular engagement, feedback, and discipline within the ranks. That consistency kept the movement focused even during the most heated periods of the campaign, and it helped convert public enthusiasm into organized voter mobilization across key states.
Aminu Suleiman also understood that elections are ultimately won at the polling unit. He worked to bridge the gap between national campaign strategy and grassroots execution. TSO under his leadership organized sensitization drives, town halls, and digital campaigns that explained policy in simple terms. Voters in Bauchi, Kano, Borno, Sokoto, and across the North East and North West began to see how Tinubu’s plans on economy, security, agriculture, and local government autonomy connected to their daily lives. That connection mattered, and it was driven by a network he painstakingly built and nurtured.
Another critical contribution was his deliberate push for youth and women inclusion. Suleiman insisted that support groups should be led by young entrepreneurs, campus ambassadors, and women leaders who could speak to their peers. This created a sense of ownership. Many of the logistics, from transportation to mobilization, were self-funded by members who believed in the project. That volunteer spirit reduced dependence on a few sponsors and gave the movement resilience. It also laid the foundation for a new generation of political organizers who now see themselves as stakeholders in governance, not just in elections.
After the 2023 victory, his role did not diminish. As the Tinubu administration began implementing difficult but necessary reforms, TSO became a key platform for explanation and feedback. Aminu Suleiman mobilized coordinators to engage communities, address misinformation, and gather grassroots input on how policies were landing. In many places, this two-way communication helped calm tensions and reinforced the message that government was listening. That continuity is why many within the movement now view TSO as more than a campaign vehicle. It is a structure for sustaining public trust.
His service has also been recognized through national assignments that place him in positions to contribute to development. His appointments reflect the principle that those who work for victory should also help deliver results. For supporters, these roles are an extension of the same commitment he showed on the campaign trail: to serve, to coordinate, and to ensure that governance reaches the people.
Looking toward 2027, Aminu Suleiman has continued to emphasize the need for unity, digital strategy, and inclusive leadership. He has cautioned that the next phase must be about consolidation. Protecting gains in security, deepening economic reforms, and ensuring that dividends of democracy are felt in the last village will require the same grassroots energy that delivered 2023. TSO remains active under his guidance, with coordinators across states and abroad reaffirming commitment to promoting the policies of the Tinubu-led administration and working for its re-election.
Throughout this period, he has been described by colleagues as a workaholic and a team player who prefers results to rhetoric. Even when faced with criticism or internal disagreements, he has chosen engagement over confrontation. That temperament has helped keep a diverse coalition together. In a political environment where ego often fractures movements, his focus on structure and loyalty has been a stabilizing force.
In the final analysis, the story of Tinubu’s breakthrough in the North cannot be told without Aminu Suleiman. From buying the nomination form in 2022, to building and sustaining thousands of support groups, to defending and explaining government after the election, his contribution has been foundational. He represents a model of political service that puts organization, loyalty, and the people first. For that reason, across TSO and beyond, he is widely regarded as the man behind Tinubu’s show in the North.
