From: Mohammed Mustapha

Kaduna, Ahead of the 2027 general elections, two major pro-Tinubu support groups have merged in Kaduna to consolidate mobilisation efforts for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election. The Tinubu Second Term Mandate Movement the announced the collapse of their structures into a single platform to be known as TinubuAgain2027.

Leaders of the groups said the merger is aimed at strengthening grassroots structures, expanding reach, and delivering millions of votes for the President across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. They described the alliance as timely and strategic to ensure continuity of the administration’s programmes.

Speaking at the unveiling, the Minister of State for Defence and Convener of the TinubuAgain2027 Movement  Bello Matawalle represented by Dr Auwal Abdullahi, said the decision was motivated by patriotism and a shared commitment to securing the President’s re-election. He noted that TinubuAgain2027 will focus on informing Nigerians about what the Tinubu administration has achieved so far, the ongoing programmes across sectors, and what it intends to accomplish with another mandate. Dr Abdullahi described the campaign as a “moving train” and urged other support groups across the country to join the coalition to deepen support at the grassroots.

On security, the Minister highlighted key interventions under the current administration. He cited the approval of *four additional military divisions, bringing the total to 12, as part of efforts to strengthen national defence and response capacity. He also pointed to the establishment of Forest Guards and the Marine Guard, alongside investments in military equipment and training. According to him, more than 1,000 forest guards recently passed out in Kaduna, which he described as part of a broader strategy to strengthen community-based security and address emerging threats in rural communities.

On the economy, Dr Abdullahi said the administration’s reforms are targeted at improving government revenue, attracting investments, and stabilising the economy for long-term growth. He urged Nigerians to give President Tinubu another term to consolidate the reforms and ensure that the gains recorded in fiscal management and infrastructure development are sustained. He stressed that policy continuity is critical at this stage to avoid disruptions and to allow ongoing programmes to deliver their full impact to citizens.

The National Coordinator of the Tinubu Second Term Mandate Movement Dr Aminu Mohammed, said the new structure is targeting at least 60 per cent of votes cast through its mobilisation network. He disclosed that a structure representing retired military personnel has pledged to mobilise 1.6 million votes for President Tinubu through veterans, their families and supporters, with presence across all 36 states and the FCT down to the grassroots. Dr Mohammed also revealed that supporters in Zamfara State contributed more than N20 million towards the mobilisation effort, with some individuals contributing as little as N50. He described the contributions as clear evidence of grassroots support for the President.

Also speaking, Bauchi State Coordinator of T2M coordinator Sani Danaudi Mohammed dismissed concerns over the growing opposition coalition, particularly the African Democratic Congress (ADC), saying TinubuAgain2027 is building a stronger and more organised grassroots network. He defended the administration’s democratic credentials, citing President Tinubu’s reported intervention in the dispute involving the Osun State Government and the EFCC as proof of commitment to due process. The movement said it will continue its mobilisation campaign across the country, with further engagements planned in Kano and other states. Dr Abdullahi expressed confidence that the coalition would secure substantial support for President Tinubu and deliver his re-election in 2027.
