From: Faith Johnson

BAUCHI, L.B Halan Football Academy has officially acquired Lamb FC, a vibrant football club based in Tafawa Balewa with over 35 talented young players. The acquisition is part of the Academy’s broader strategy to strengthen its management structure, expand grassroots football, and create more pathways for young talents in Bauchi State. Club officials say the move will give the Academy a larger player pool and a stronger presence at community level.

The new ownership has expressed appreciation to Mr. Dindah Ezekiel for his years of service and for agreeing to sell the club. According to the Academy, Mr. Ezekiel built a solid foundation with Lamb FC centered on discipline, participation, and youth development. The Academy says it will build on that foundation while introducing new structures in coaching, administration, and player welfare to meet modern football standards.

As part of the restructuring, the Academy has announced a new management and technical team. Mr. Chongfilawas Habila has been appointed Director of the Football Academy. Mr. Sukar Mato will serve as Senior Coach, while Mr. Ballack Daniel comes in as Assistant Coach. Mr. Dindah Ezekiel, the former owner of Lamb FC, will now serve as Director of Public Relations for the Academy. The team also includes Mr. Alhamdu Wormi as official photographer and Barr. Dauda Apolmi as Director of Legal.

Officials say the appointments are designed to bring professionalism and accountability to all areas of the Academy’s operations. The new structure covers technical training, legal compliance, media and documentation, and community engagement. The goal, according to management, is to run the Academy like a modern institution where players are developed on and off the pitch.

The Academy stated that its focus remains on discovering, developing, and empowering the next generation of football talents in the community. Plans include structured training programs, educational support for players, regular competitions, and exposure opportunities at state and national levels. Management emphasized that the vision is not just to produce better footballers, but also responsible young people who can represent Bauchi and Nigeria positively.

With the new team now in place, L.B Halan Football Academy says it is ready to begin the next phase of its journey. Stakeholders and football lovers in Tafawa Balewa and across Bauchi have been called upon to support the project as the Academy works to raise standards and provide more opportunities for youth through football.
